Holman opened our doors in Merchantville, New Jersey in 1924 after Steward C. Holman signed a dealership contract with the Ford Motor Company. The partnership with Ford continued in 1947 when Holman established the beginning of our South Florida operations by opening a Lincoln-Mercury dealership in Fort Lauderdale.

After more than 90 years with a foothold in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida, Holman nearly doubled its operation by acquiring western-based Kuni Automotive in 2016. Today, Holman is one of the largest U.S. vehicle dealership groups with more than three dozen dealerships in nine states under nearly two dozen brands.

From the beginning, the business was built on Steward Holman’s strong personal philosophy. He said, “First and foremost, a business is people. More important than buildings, locations or equipment.” On that foundation, he built a team of well-trained employees who value serving customers and helping others.

Since then, the company has continuously expanded our reach across the automotive industry and across the globe. Today, our parent company, Holman , operates seven major divisions in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Europe. Together we exemplify highly integrated teams, sophisticated technology, and hands-on innovation. We provide consumers and businesses a warm and friendly, yet transparent and sophisticated customer experience that cannot be matched by another single-family organization.
